Just use a shell account that happens to be outside the U.S.

Why not? If I connect to the shell server using SSH, then I shouldnât get in trouble for accessing things the U.S. doesnât like, since itâll actually be accessed from Europe, not the U.S.

Whatâs next, requiring people to get a court to approve international travel and agree that they will return within a certain amount of time?
