Announcing Replit AI for All

Today, we’re making Replit AI available for everyone. Code completion and code assistance are now enabled by default, and available to 23M developers (and counting). Developers on the free plan will have access to our basic AI features, while Pro users will retain exclusive access to the most powerful AI models and advanced features. Free users will have access to these features today, with Pro users seeing no changes to their subscriptions.

As part of this change, we are saying goodbye to “Ghostwriter” as the name for our AI features. Replit will become a synonym of AI for software creators. For more details see our blog post. Please use this forum as the place to leave feedback, thoughts, and comments.

Can you still buy ghost writer with cycles and it will be the same as pro or do you need pro to get it?

You can still buy Replit AI with Cycles. It will be the same cost as before, 1000 cycles per month. You do not need Pro to buy AI with Cycles. You will receive access to the advanced chat model, along with unlimited basic responses when buying AI with cycles, but none of the other (unrelated to AI) Pro features.

How to disable autocompleting code?

When I am writing code, a lower transparency recommendation appears in front of it. I have Code Intelligence disabled and it’s not Ghostwriter because I’m not subscribed or in a free trial. I’m learning to code and I find it really intrusive and disruptive to my thought process. Screenshot: [Image] The autocomplete code is in line 11 and in the settings sidebar you can see I have Code Intelligence and Ghostwriter disabled. There is now a setting to disable AI autocomplete, in settings.

I’m on Hacker plan and have been buying cycles ($10/month) to use Ghost Writer. This was giving me full access for months. Now, having re-subscribed 3 days ago for another month, I am only getting access to the basic following this change.

What’s wrong with Ghostwriter? Out of all AI tools I have ever used, Replit’s is the most memorable thanks to that name. Perhaps it wasn’t SEO-friendly or something?

I love it! Open-sourcing your AI is a great idea. I have something I think everyone would like, though… Even someone from the commuinty could build it… Maybe could we get a VSCode extension? I think it would be great!

Turn off for EDU accounts please. Not a toggle option - OFF.
