Allow users' ban history to reset

I was having trouble wording the title; it is not meant to imply that Replit is mean to banned users.
Describe your feature request
Allow users’ ban history to reset after x amount of time on mainsite. On Ask (Discourse), a user can get in trouble, be punished, and after x amount of time the punishment leaves their record IIRC. A similar feature should be implemented on mainsite Replit. IIRC you get 5 warnings, no matter how old your account is, and then you’re permanently banned. I think that warnings should expire after x amount of time.

What problem(s) would this feature solve?
Users who got into trouble when they were younger, but are now possibly more mature, are unable to use Replit ever again. If they attempt to use an alt, the alt will be banned.

Explain what you were trying to do when you came across the problem leading to this feature request
I personally was never warned or banned, but I have seen so many people get into trouble and if they get in trouble more than that 5(?) times, they can never use Replit again.

If I am wrong on some of my info, please correct me.

The moderator banning uses their best judgment when banning user.

I think it is 10 times, 5 times is temporary community ban, and 10 times is permanent siteban.

I don’t think we necessarily ban from community/permanently at a number of warnings, besides a temporary ban at three relevant warnings.

That said @not-ethan brings up a good point, moderators are trained to use their best judgement when banning users and that includes considering the date and reason for a warning

It would probably be best to just not get any warnings yeah?

I don’t intend to get any warnings :slightly_smiling_face:.
